Founder

Sabina is a wife, a mother, and a marketing professional who has spent most of her career in the Media and Entertainment industry in Australia and abroad. Her recent roles in the Tech industry have ensured that she has the experience to navigate through the different opportunities and hurdles that come with implementing a project of this nature. She’s an expert when it comes to communications, partnerships, strategy, execution and concept development. She is so excited to utilise her diverse skills on a project so close to her heart.

Melanie McGrice

Dietitian

Melanie McGrice is an experienced dietitian with 20 years of experience in both clinical, media and private practice dietetics. She runs a practice with a fantastic team of dietitians who see clients face to face in their Melbourne clinic as well as virtually, worldwide. She hosts the YouTube channel Nourish with Melanie and supports a nutrition centre in rural Tanzania. For more info see www.melaniemcgrice.com

Melanie earned her Master’s Degree in Dietetics and is a past chairperson of the Obesity Interest Group of the Dietitians Association of Australia. She has served on the Board of the Weight Management Council of Australia and currently sits on the Early Life Nutrition Coalition and has been awarded the coveted ‘Australian Dietitian of the Year’ in 2018.

Jennifer Duff

Sleep Consultant

Jennifer is the founder of My Newborn and a professional Baby Sleep Consultant, based in Sydney, Australia. She has been helping babies (and parents!) sleep through the night for over 20 years.

 

She has spent thousands upon thousands of hours living in with families over the years, this invaluable experience has enabled her to create a unique, gentle and systematic sleep strategy that caters for the individual need of the baby and the parenting style of each family.

 

Jennifer has lived and worked on 6 continents (52 countries) working with an array of clientele, including celebrities, VIP’s, European royalty and the everyday family.

Michelle Charriere

Specialist in Birth to Five Mental Health

Michelle is the founder of Babies and Brains, LLC. She created Babies and Brains in 2020 to connect with others on a larger scale and spread the message about the importance of birth to the age of five pertaining to mental health. Michelle started her journey working in community behavioral health for 8 years, working with families directly in their homes. Her program focused specifically on birth to five, parent-child relationships, and trauma. Prior to this work experience, she received a B.S. in Psychology and a MAS in Infant-Family Practice from Arizona State University. She recently left her community behavioral health job to pour all of her love into Babies and Brains and continue to create a community of empowerment and understanding around birth to five mental health.

Kristin Beckedahl

Naturopath | Childbirth Educator | Birth Doula

Kristin is a Naturopath, Childbirth Educator, Birth Doula and Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist.

She’s the solo, multi-passionate founder of BodyWise BirthWise based in Perth, Western Australia. For the past 22 years she’s worked alongside women and their families throughout their pregnancy, birthing and postpartum adventures. 

Kristin is also the founder of The BodyWise BirthWise Store. An online store that houses her handcrafted, organic, herbal solutions for the motherhood journey.

When she’s not doing any of the above, she’s busy being a mum of two and relishing family time. Or… listening to podcasts, downing short machs, floating in the ocean, hiking, day dreaming, reading research, hanging out in nature, eating avocados, watching docos, rollerskating, binge-watching Outlander or mastering the art of the 20 minute power nap. 

Kristin is also a proud supporter of the Birthing Kit Foundation Australia (www.bkfa.org.au). A humanitarian organisation that provides Clean Birth Kits and education in clean birthing practices to women birthing at home in remote regions of the developing world.

Dr Daniel B. Singley

Licensed Psychologist | Director of The Center for Men’s Excellence

Dr. Singley is a San Diego-based board certified psychologist and Director of The Center for Men’s Excellence

​

His research and practice focus on men’s mental health with a particular emphasis on reproductive psychology and the transition to fatherhood. Dr. Singley won the American Psychological Association’s 2017 Practitioner of the Year Award from the Division on Men & Masculinities. 

 

He is Past President of the American Psychological Association's (APA) Section on Positive Psychology and currently serves on the Board of the APA’s Society for the Psychological Study of Men and Masculinities and the President’s Advisory Council for Postpartum Support International.

 

He conducts trainings and presentations both internationally and in the USA, to assist individuals and organisations to enhance their level of father inclusiveness and founded the grant-funded Basic Training for New Dads, Inc nonprofit and Padre Cadre social networking application just for dads in order to give new fathers the tools they need to be highly engaged with their infants as well as their partners. He has also published published his research in a variety of peer-reviewed publications.

 

In his free time, Dr. Singley likes to cook, surf, read, and drive his two sons to activities all over town so they can’t escape his annoying shrinky questions.

Physio Laura

Women's Health Physiotherapist

Laura Callea aka Physio Laura is a women’s health physiotherapist with a passion for helping women during pregnancy and after birth. She is motivated to empower and educate women to understand their bodies better and make informed decisions. She believes that many of the common complaints during pregnancy and after birth could be prevented and as such she places a strong emphasis on a preventative approach to women’s health. Her goal is to improve pelvic health during the pre and post natal years so that women can enjoy the wonderful experience of motherhood so much more.

Dr Bronwyn Leigh

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Bronwyn Leigh is a clinical psychologist, perinatal and infant clinician and early parenting consultant. She is the Director of the Centre for Perinatal Psychology, a national network of perinatal psychologists around Australia, dedicated to parent and infant emotional wellbeing. As a psychologist, Bronwyn loves working with parents and their infants as they get to know each other and navigate their new life. She supports people to adjust well, manage their mood and sustain connected relationships. Bronwyn is concerned with issues spanning the perinatal period from planning of conception, through pregnancy and in the postpartum.

 

Her primary interests are in attachment relationships, perinatal depression and anxiety (Mums and Dads) and infant/toddler social and emotional development. She has a long-standing interest in fertility issues, assisted conception and perinatal loss. Bronwyn actively supports single parents and same sex families.

​

Bronwyn is deeply interested in exploring ways to facilitate joyful parenting and a secure, loving bond between parents and infants. Bronwyn developed the ‘Mindfully Parenting Your Baby’ group program for parents and their babies, which focuses on mindfulness and reflective parenting skills.

Bronwyn is co-author of ‘Towards Parenthood’, a self-help workbook supporting soon-to-be and new parents prepare for the emotional changes and challenges of parenthood. The workbook strengthens relationships, while providing coping strategies to help the transition to parenting. Adjusting to the demands of parenting is challenging for us all – this book can help.

Bronwyn also oversees the Perinatal Training Centre, dedicated to quality, accessible professional development in perinatal and infant mental health. She has contributed to research, conferences and media interviews in the field.

Jo is a mum of three. Her motherhood journey began early and she is open and real about the
challenges of everyday life as a mum. As a qualified social worker, Jo has many years’ experience
working in healthcare, and has been there for hundreds of women as they navigate their way into
parenthood. Jo has a commitment to empowering the lives of young women throughout pregnancy,
early parenthood and beyond and is a heart-centred advocate for young women to live well, safe
and free. Jo loves to share a laugh and time at the beach.

Rachel Tomlinson

Registered Psychologist | Parenting Expert Author

Rachel Tomlinson is a Registered Psychologist, mother, parenting expert and author of two internationally published books, “Teaching Kids to be Kind” (Skyhorse) a parenting book focusing on how to encourage kindness and compassion in children and “A Blue Kind of Day” (Penguin) a picture book about the sensory experiences of depression in children.

 

She has worked with adults, children and families in a variety of fields including; play therapy, education settings, children’s residential programs, women’s refuge’s, torture and trauma counselling and family support programs.

 

She has presented at national conferences on mental health topics (including trauma and play therapy) as well as guest lectures at university on domestic violence. She also serves as a subject matter expert for print and broadcast media on topics such as parenting, child development and relationships.
